We are a group of Christians worshipping under the care of Spriggs Road Presbyterian Church, Manassas, Virginia. Mount Zion Presbyterian Church (MZPC) is a mission church that seeks to faithfully proclaim the glorious gospel of the kingdom of Jesus Christ in Herndon, Virginia. Our services are a simple blend of the ordinary means of grace  ( Word, Sacraments, and Prayer) which we delight in to the growth of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our church is also confessional, holding to the Westminster Standards  ( Confession of Faith, Larger Catechism , and  Shorter Catechism) which are accurate summaries of the what our Scriptures teach.

What is Mount Zion Presbyterian Church?

This is a mission church launched under the leadership and vision of Rev. Jegar Chinnavan under the oversight of the Spriggs Road Presbyterian church. You can read more about our vision here.

Rev. Jegar Chinnavan is a PCA (Presbyterian Church of America) ordained minister. He received his M. Div. from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and Th.M. from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. He is married to Jemima for 27 years and they have a daughter, Sheena.

The Mount Zion Presbyterian Church or MZPC is a church that stands in a long tradition of Christian churches known as the “Reformed” churches. Our doctrinal statements are over 300 years old. Our church is also biblical and confessional. 

 Reformed churches are united around their belief that God is supremely  sovereign over all things. All of history, all societies, each  individual person, and everything in between is under God’s sovereign  control.

At Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, we aim to spread the word of God and see how God has blessed us in the ministry over the past year.
